before i had regular amounts of worry like i think most people around me do. i would worry about money, work, and family when things would happen. but now i feel like my worrying has totally spiraled out of control. any one little thing that's wrong with my health and i think it's the end of the world. i never used to be this person. i've worried about things that never happened and most likely never would, i worry about silly small things, and i seem to be worried more than i'm content. it keeps getting worse and worse as each week goes by and i don't know how to get it in control. i feel like if i don't do something about it, it'll cause health issues because i'm this ball of constant stress. i feel so trapped and so lost.

hey lydia, i get where you're coming from. when my dad died, i feel like my world got turned upside down and after that i became such a worrier which i'd never been before in my life. i'm a pretty chill guy and always had been. but i had to get it under control quickly bc i knew that if it kept going it would get a ton worse. i would do a lot of self talk and talk myself out of my worry. i would also train my mind to get rid of those thoughts and shift focus onto something good. also i started running last week and i swear by it. feels like everything melts off and away. can't even seem to worry when i'm done.

Hi Lydia, anxiety seems to spike up worrying significantly. When I feel anxious my worrying is totally exacerbated and trying to calm myself from thinking about that worrying seems to make it worse in the moment. Sometimes I allow myself to have those thoughts but then I wrangle them in. I also meditate every day. When I sit down and meditate it helps me to not only clear my thoughts but it helps me to calm my worrying. I am able to approach things differently when I meditate. I highly recommend it if you are willing and wanting to try it.

That's a really good idea Millie, thank you. i'm going to give meditation a try. i've heard so many good things about it but i've never tried it. i think this is a good of time as any.

Lydia, meditation is everything. I am going to meditate today so get my worrying and anxiousness in tact. With the holidays upon us there are so many obligations that are giving me anxiety and my worrying is doing overtime so I know that meditation and exercise will help center and calm me.
