I saw my psychiatrist today and he said that he wants to put me on daily meds which I'm not sure that I want. I was hoping to eventually wean myself off of meds altogether and go a more natural route. My anxiety has been a lot worse lately so he's wanting to put me on daily meds that take a month to properly kick in. That in and of itself makes me nervous because I take meds on a needed basis and thinking that something takes a month to fully kick in worries me. I don't know what to do. I told my doctor that I needed to think about it.

I totally understand that Pixie. I'm on meds on an as-needed basis because I never wanted to be on anything daily and long-term. I take Lorazepam on an as-needed basis and mainly take it when I am feeling a panic attack coming on. Like you, I would eventually like to take a natural route, but for now this works for me.

hey pixie, it's my hope and dream to be on meds only when i need them. once you go on them like me i don't know how easy it is to get off of them. go with your gut here. i used to try natural options but nothing ever worked for my anxiety when it was bad. can you talk to your dr about as-needed meds like millie?
